The Professional

Tourism and Hospitality Management Specialist | Front End Web Developer

The service industry has been both a classroom and a mirror — shaping not only my professional capabilities, but my understanding of people. I hold a Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management from the College of the North Atlantic in St. John’s, Newfoundland, and have spent more than two decades building hands-on expertise in management, leadership, sales, conflict resolution, and problem solving.
Driven by a commitment to continuous growth, I pursued a Certificate in Front-End Web Development from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, which led to the founding of Atlantica Designs. Through this venture, I have developed a personal portfolio site, a professional website for a fishing lodge in Northern Ontario, and am currently building sites for a cabin retreat, a flooring company, and a complimentary site for an animal rescue organization.

My background also spans bookkeeping, reception, editing, and marketing. I am currently completing certificates in Customer Success Management, Onboarding, Introduction to HR, and Data Analytics. The pursuit of knowledge is not a phase of my career — it is a defining part of who I am as a professional, a collaborator, and a leader.

The Adventurer

Traveler | Mountain Trekker | Thrill Seeker

From the time I was a little girl watching National Geographic, the History Channel, and Discovery Channel with my dad and grandpa — or reading about Dian Fossey and David Attenborough and their dedication to conservation — I knew I was meant to explore the world. I grew up in rural Newfoundland and Labrador, raised on home-grown vegetables, wild game, and fresh seafood from the Atlantic, attending a small all-grade school at the edge of the ocean. But my adventurous spirit was always reaching beyond the horizon.

At 18, I left home on a scholarship, stepping into a future I couldn’t yet imagine. What followed was a life lived fully: bungee jumping at Niagara Falls, hiking mountains across Asia and South America, helping pilot a small plane over the Rocky Mountains, sandboarding and dune buggying through the Peruvian Desert, standing before ancient ruins, flying over the mysterious Nazca Lines, kayaking alongside whales and icebergs, playing soccer on the highest pitch in the world, celebrating the full moon festival in Thailand, and working on remote fishing lodges deep in Northern Canada — and through it all, meeting some of the most remarkable people I will ever know.

My next chapter is already taking shape: an expedition to Africa, and many more adventures beyond. The mission continues — to discover, to grow, and to become the fullest version of myself.
